With old syringes you can make a magnificent telescopic jack. You will require 4 different sizes of syringes. Here one syringe is put inside the other. Threads are tied to limit the expansion range of each syringe. Fill water in a 20-ml large syringe and connect it to the Telescopic Jack with a small piece of saline tube.
