Development of solar power plants

One of the main and most important approaches made by Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC) in energy transition is to make investment in solar power plants as a clean energy source in Iran. Given Iran’s position and potentials in increasing the share of solar energy in its energy portfolio, Pasargad Energy Development Company has put expansion of its activities in this area on agenda in line with its environmental commitments and sustainable approaches. In this regard, Damghan Solar Power Plant, the first and most modern solar power plant in Iran, came on stream. This power plant shows that Pasargad Energy Development Company is determined to achieve sustainable development goals despite extensive sanctions against Iran’s energy industry. As the first bifacial power plant in Iran, it has 10 megawatts of capacity and came online with the efforts of Iranian experts and with the resolution of Pasargad Energy Development Company in line with its strategy to provide sustainable and renewable energy in the country.
