A tessellation is a way of tiling a plane surface using the same shape again and again. Cut two triangles from a square to make a shape of a house. Transpose and tape the triangles to make a cat face. Cut a skewed small triangle and transpose it make the beak and tail. Make many birds with this stencil and assemble them in a tile pattern.
