Cheyne-Stokes Respiration

Cheyne-Stokes respiration (CSR) describes cyclic breathing in which apnea is followed by gradually increasing respiratory frequency and tidal volume (ie, hyperpnea), then gradually decreasing respiratory frequency and tidal volume until the next apneic period.
