US Taliban talks

Washington has said it will hold talks with the Taliban with the observation of Afghan government. It is believed that such action shows that the Taliban are still a major threat for the US presence in Afghanistan. The United States has made plans to have Taliban to open an office in the Qatari capital Doha by the end of 2011 to set the stage for the talks with the group.
