LIVE: Thousands protest 'foreign agents' bill at Georgian parliament
The suspected pro-government thugs who attacked Dimitri Chikovani, an opponent of Georgia’s divisive “foreign agent” law, were waiting for him when he got out of his car outside his home in Tbilisi, the country’s capital.
Video from CCTV cameras shows the assailants kicking and punching Chikovani as he lay defenceless on the ground, before fleeing into the night. He suffered a concussion, a broken nose, and severe bruising.
