Using Weather Data in TRNSYS

This video includes a short discussion on the various weather formats that can be read by TRNSYS, including TMY-2, TMY-3, Meteonorm, CWEC, Energy Plus, and other formats, followed by a brief demonstration coupling the Type 15 weather data reader to a TRNSYS PV model. Note that the orientation of the PV surface (its slope and azimuth) must be set by the Type reading and processing the weather data, not by the PV model. Using weather data from on-site measurements requires use of a different TRNSYS data reader, the Type 9 generic data reader; tips and tricks for using Type 9 and Type 16 to read measured solar radiation data are included at the end of the video.
