This compilation shows terrifying examples of police body cameras falling off, as well as examples where the officer simply forgot to turn their camera on. In order to have an effective body camera program, the body camera itself needs to be effective, secure and future-proof.
As stories of flawed body cameras are published almost daily, we urge departments to take into consideration the shortcomings of generation 1 clip-on body cameras.
