Hi, everyone. I want to apologize for my recurrent disappearances both from uploading new videos and in interacting with you guys. Things haven't been very good for me and I find myself more and more easily overwhelmed by things around me... I'll try harder to be more consistent in my uploads and in increasing the quality of both my translations and video presentations.

I also wanted to thank you all for your support of this project. I don't think I would have lasted for as long as I have had it not been for this amazing community of Arabic speakers, teachers and learners that has come to flourish here. I appreciate all of your input and I find myself sometimes continuously learning from your comments and growing as a translation and a language enthusiast myself. So thank you for all your encouragement, suggestions, recommendations, corrections, and, in general, your valuable input.

Lyrics/Poem by: Nizar Qabbani
Easily one of the most popular Arabic songs and one of my personal favorites.

Nizar Tawfiq Qabbani (Arabic: نزار توفيق قباني, ALA-LC: Nizār Tawfīq Qabbānī, French: Nizar Kabbani; 21 March 1923 – 30 April 1998) was a Syrian diplomat, poet, writer and publisher. His poetic style combines simplicity and elegance in exploring themes of love, eroticism, feminism, religion, and Arab nationalism. Qabbani is one of the most revered contemporary poets in the Arab world, and is considered to be Syria's National Poet.
