To Make Moong Dal Halwa

Moong Dal - 1 Cup
Cashew Nuts - 1 Cup
Almonds
Raisins
Sooji - 1 Tbsp
Gram Flour - 1 Tbsp
Water - 1 Cup
Milk - 1 Cup
Sugar - 2 Cups
Cardamom Powder - 1 Tsp
Saffron
Ghee

Method:

1. Soak moong dal in water for 3 hours.
2. Strain the soaked moong dal and pat it dry fully.
3. Transfer it to a mixer jar and coarsely grind. Keep it aside.
4. Take a pan and add ghee. Roast the cashewnuts, almonds and pistachios.
5. Remove them from the pan and add raisins. Roast them and remove them from the pan.
6. To a pan, add ghee and add sooji along with besan.
7. Roast them for 2 mins.
8. Add the coarsely ground moong dal mixture and mix. Roast for 15 mins.
9. Then add water and mix. Add milk and mix.
10. Once the moong dal absorbed all the moisture, add ghee and mix.
11. Next add sugar and let it completely melt down.
12. Add ghee again.
13. Once the moong dal mixture begins to thicken, add cardamom powder, saffron and mix well.
14. Lastly add the roasted nuts and raisins. You can also use them for garnishing.
15. That's it, yummy moong dal halwa is ready to be served.
