And they asked him about what would come forth from life
O Muhammad, O Trustworthy one
O Messenger, we're worried
After much time passes, where will we be?
He told them: Divided
Injured. Disconnected
And the whole world will take advantage of you. And you'll be broken.
But this isn't the end!
From our weakness, even if we fail, we'll find our beginning.
We'll pull each other together and rewrite our story.
We're coming back. Yes, we're coming back.
Whenever the Prophet (PBUH) spoke of us
it was as if he were living among us,
seeing us with his own eyes, while speaking.
All of his worries were about those who would come after him.
Because they are a people, who would never see him, yet would believe in him.
And he was afraid for us-- that we would reach this state.
But this isn't the end!
From our weakness, even if we fail, we'll find our beginning.
