یکی از مراسم‌های زیبا و سنتی کردستان، "مراسم هزار دف" است که مردم از نقاط مختلف برای شرکت و حضور در این مراسم با هم متحد می‌شوند. این مراسم در دوره‌ی جمع‌آوری غلات، در روستاهای پلنگان برگزار می‌شود و مردم در کنار هم با نواختن دف، به جشن و شادی می‌پردازند. این مراسم در گذشته در روستاهای نزدیک شهر پاوه نیز برگزار می‌شد، اما اکنون در روستاهای باینگان به صورت رسمی برگزار شد.
