MBK on Tour #042 - World Model Expo (Koningshof, Eindhoven, Juli 2022)
The World Model Expo, WME for short, takes place every 3 years at different locations around the world. In 2014 it was in Stresa / Italy, in 2017 in Chicago and after a 2-year break from the epidemic now in Eindhoven and the next World Model Expo will take place in 2025 in Versailles / Paris.
The main focus next to the representatives of European model manufacturers was of course the competition with over 4800 registered models of all categories and scales, with a clear focus on military vehicles and figures.
The exhibitors came from all over the world - the longest journeys were certainly the model builders from Curaçao and the USA.
As for "celebrities", everyone of distinction was there: David Parker, Calvin Tan, Mig Jimenez, Jose Brito, Bill Horan, Lester Plaskitt, Bernhard Lustig, etc.
With our video we try to bring some of the flair of the Expo into your living room at home - here you can see mainly photos of some models in the competition and interviews with some manufacturers - including IBG, which presented the Panzer II in the early version a1/a2/a3 as a world first 1:35 kit and showed it there live.
