Did you know this about Smaug in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey? The first roar heard by Smaug in the film, the one during Smaug’s attack on Erebor, actually came from the special effects director’s seven year old daughter! They recorded her “roaring” and then digitally edited it to sound more like a dragon before putting it in the film!
