New 2024 Nissan Juke Hybrid Small Urban Crossover SUV
Nissan Juke, the brand's iconic urban crossover, is now available with an advanced hybrid drive for even higher performance and efficiency.
The powertrain includes a new generation, technologically advanced combustion engine developed by Nissan, designed specifically to work in a hybrid system. It develops a power of 69 kW (94 HP) and offers a torque of up to 148 Nm.
In turn, the electric drive is provided by an electric motor supplied by Nissan with a power of 36 kW (49 HP) and a torque of 205 Nm. From Renault come: a 15-kilowatt high-voltage generator-starter, an inverter and a liquid-cooled battery with a capacity of 1.2 kWh, as well as an innovative gearbox.
Juke The Hybrid is equipped with the e-Pedal function, which allows you to control acceleration and braking using only the accelerator pedal. When the driver takes his foot off the accelerator pedal, the car begins to brake (with a force of up to 0.15 g) until it reaches a crawling speed (approx. 5 km/h). In certain situations and when you need to stop the vehicle completely, it may be necessary to additionally press the brake pedal (for convenience, you can activate the "auto hold" function to keep the car in place). The driver quickly becomes accustomed to the intuitive use of the e-Pedal function. Driving around the city becomes less tiring and smoother, while allowing the battery to be fully recharged with energy recovered during braking and deceleration, providing even greater driving pleasure, just like in an electric car.
The Juke hybrid version retains the styling of a sports coupé-crossover. Every detail has been taken care of - numerous small changes serve to optimize aerodynamic efficiency and emphasize that Juke Hybrid is an electrified car. "Hybrid" badges appear on the front doors and trunk lid.
The Juke Hybrid 's radiator grille features a new Nissan logo and a glossy black strip along the line where it meets the engine cover, echoing a motif seen on other electrified Nissans.
The air intake cover itself has a mesh structure, and the lower demand for cooling of the engine compartment in the hybrid version allows for smaller holes through which air flows and ensures better aerodynamic parameters. Changes improving air flow were also applied to the lower part of the body, under the bumper. The hybrid version adds a louver in the radiator grill that automatically opens or closes the cooling air supply as needed, reducing the resistance of the front surface of the car as much as possible.
The right dial of the instrument panel is the speedometer, while the left dial is the power gauge, the needle of which moves between the "charge" fields when energy is being recovered during deceleration, "eco" when the drive is in electric mode, and "power" ( power) when the petrol and electric engines work simultaneously. There is also a battery charge indicator in the lower section of the left dial.
The energy flow diagram can be displayed on a 7-inch screen between the instruments in the instrument cluster. A clear and transparent animation allows the driver to understand the principle and operation of the car's drive system.
The e-Pedal function button is located in the center console, behind the electric parking brake button, and the button activating the 100% electric driver mode is located between the center air vents. When the e-Pedal and EV functions are activated, appropriate information appears at the bottom of the combined instrument panel screen.
The trunk has a capacity of 354 liters, which is only 68 liters less compared to the combustion version due to the presence of a 1.2 kWh battery. With the rear seat folded, the trunk remains the largest in its class (1,237 l). The amount of space in the rear at knee height has also not changed (553 mm).
