MR OLYMPIA 2021 | Prize Money, All Line Up Results & Posing Routine

🔵 Bodybuilding: Bodybuilding

First Place — Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay, $400,000
Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay has ranked as the top bodybuilder in the world since 2020 as the reigning Mr. Olympia champion. Despite some concerns about his commitment to the title, “Big Ramy” has made it clear that he’s not going anywhere in the Men’s Open division, at least for now.

Second Place — Brandon Curry, $150,000
It’s hard to believe that prior to 2019, Brandon Curry was seen as a bodybuilding journeyman. The 2008 NPC USA Overall champion had a few pro wins up to that point, most notably the 2013 Arnold Classic South America. But, he was never perceived to be among the elite of the sport. Curry was even famously asked at the 2016 Olympia press conference if he would consider moving to the 212. He had become an afterthought when it came to the biggest show in the sport, and he actually finished out of the top 15 in that contest. Two years later, he was able to place fifth at the 2018 Olympia, and even then, some experts and people in bodybuilding thought that was a nice cap to what they considered a respectable career.
Fast forward to the end of 2019, and the story was much different. He won both the Arnold Classic and Mr. Olympia, becoming the third man to win both in the same season — the others are Ronnie Coleman (2001) and Dexter Jackson (2008).

Third Place — Hadi Choopan, $100,000
After scoring third place at the 2021 Mr. Olympia, Hadi Choopan is wasting no time trying to make some improvements for this year. He has already kicked off his prep mode for the 2022 season, and he looks massive.
Many people felt that he should have placed higher in 2021. He looked as good as he ever has, with arguably the best conditioning on stage, but ultimately fell short to Brandon Curry and Big Ramy on the judges’s scorecards.

Fourth Place — Hunter Labrada, $40,000
Bodybuilder Hunter Labrada is bringing the heat in his offseason before the 2022 Olympia. The IFBB professional Open division competitor shared a post on his Instagram page on March 31, 2022, comparing what his back looked like a day after winning the 2021 Chicago Pro — his most recent show other than the 2021 Mr. Olympia contest, where he ranked fourth overall — to his current offseason physique.

Fifth Place — Nick Walker, $35,000
Reigning Arnold Classic champion Nick Walker is one of the fastest rising stars in the sport. The Men’s Open bodybuilder shared a physique update on May 25, 2022, and is still adding muscle mass to his already-gargantuan build. Walker is preparing his physique in a calculated manner for the upcoming Mr. Olympia contest. The New Jersey native is confident in his abilities and became one of the sport’s biggest names following an incredible 2021 season in the sport.

Sixth Place — William Bonac
William Bonac is an IFBB Professional Bodybuilder and sponsored athlete from Ghana. He's worked extremely hard to build the physique he has today. He prides himself on his confident, down to earth attitude. This mental approach has taken him all the way to the Mr. Olympia stage. He's admired for his large legs and arms, as well as his dedication to proper nutrition - being compared frequently to the American bodybuilder Kai Greene. It has been a long and difficult road for William in reaching this level.

Seventh Place — Iain Valliere
Iain Valliere is a Canadian Coach, Social Media Star, and IFBB Pro Bodybuilder who competes in the Open class. Iain Valliere competes at Mr. Olympia annually against some of the best bodybuilders in the world like Big Ramy, Hadi Choopan, Hunter Labrada, and Nickolas Walker.
Iain is the coach and brother-in-law of a formidable Classic Physique bodybuilder Chris Bumstead.

Eighth Place — Justin Rodriguez
Justin Rodriguez is an IFBB Pro League Men’s Open division bodybuilder and sponsored athlete from the Dominican Republic. Rodriguez is steadily climbing the pro bodybuilding ranks and is known for his peeled conditioning and symmetry. His last title win came at the 2021 Indy Pro.
“The Nightmare” had a great start to the 2022 bodybuilding season with a memorable showing at the 2022 Arnold Classic. Justin Rodriguez showed up with his signature diced conditioning and was being considered a frontrunner to win the show on the first day. However, his placing took a beating on the second day after he looked washed out on the second day at the finals. Interestingly, the 2022 AC was the first time the second-biggest bodybuilding show after Mr. Olympia was held over two days.

Ninth Place — Akim Williams
There’s no doubt about it, Akim Williams has become someone to keep a close eye on in the Men’s Open Bodybuilding division. His recent gains are proving to be incredible. Akim Williams could prove to be a threat to the top of the division.
