With iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max getting all the mew features, are the uograde for iPhone 13 mini and regular 13 worth it? The smallest and least expensive of the 2021 lineup, the iPhone 13 mini is basically an iPhone 13 in a smaller size, with a smaller battery. Small phones aren't dead yet, with the iPhone 13 mini leading the way. Don't let the size fool you coz we're so used to bigger phone gets better specs- this phone packs a serious punch. With enhanced cameras and improved battery life over iPhone 12 mini, this fulfills the dream for fans of smaller handsets. This is our review of iPhone 13 mini! DESIGN
Lets start with the design. It is basically the cuter version of all iPhone 13 models. The iPhone 13 mini looks very similar to iPhone 12 mini with one notable change: the notch. It's about 20% smaller this year, according to Apple, and it's certainly noticeable. I think that's the biggest change we have on iPhone 13 mini in terms of design, the notch is smaller now to accomodate more screen real estate on top of the phone.
PERFORMANCE
With the new A15 Bionic processor, which includes a quad-core GPU, the iPhone 13 mini is a very powerful little phone. In fact, it destroys the best that Android has to offer, even the best gaming phones. The fastest chip that an Android phone can use, the Snapdragon 888 and Kirin 9000, they already had a hard time keeping up with last year's A14 Bionic so this processor is way ahead of the competition.
SCREEN
The iPhone 13 mini's 5.4-inch OLED display is unchanged, but there's a big boost in brightness this year (800 nits). Thanks to the OLED panel, colors are punchy and vibrant with true, deep blacks. I played Mobile Legends (a very interesting experience on such a small phone) and wasà impressed with how well the phone rendered the graphics even in the regular 60 hertz. Was there a difference?
BATTERY
Battery life on last year's iPhone 12 Mini wasn't very good. So for this year's iPhone 13, Apple did the obvious thing: it made the batteries bigger. Apple claims that the regular iPhone 13 should last for a whopping two-and-a-half hours of usage longer than the iPhone 12, while the Mini will last an extra one-and-a-half hour. And its proven true on our testing.
CAMERA
And lastly, the camera, the rear has a dual camera setup of 12 megapixel main and 12 megapixel ultrawide and although a little inferior than the Pro model there's not much difference in terms of performance. Both have been upgraded, but the major improvement comes to the wide angle. Apple recycled or reused the ultrawide sensor from iPhone 12 Pro Max so if you own last year's pro max, it will perform similar to the regular iPhone 13 of this year.
