Qashqai people make Lai Polo on very special days like Nowruz Eid or when they have a special guest.
Goat meat, which is called Kahreh in the local dialect and is very tender and delicious, is fried in animal oil, drained with rice and brewed with lentils and mountain greens. We were guests of the Mardanlou family from the Qashqai nomads of Fars province. Mrs. Manzar  prepared this dish with the help of her son Bahman.
Lai Polo is a very delicious food, but when it is made in the black tent of the nomads and on the fire, you will feel the unique taste.
Iran with all its beauty is "not far away"

This documentary was produced in March of 2017 with the cooperation of Bahman Mardanlou among the Qashqai nomads in the mountainous area around the city of Kazron in Fars province.
