2016 Mercedes GLE 500 e (442hp) - 0-100 km/h acceleration (60FPS)

Acceleration clip and pull-trhough(E-Mode / Hybrid Mode) of the all new Mercedes-Benz GLE 500 e Plug-in Hybrid (4Matic) delivering a combined output of 442 hp and 650 Nm of torque (333 hp V6 petrol + 116 hp E-Motor). Although that the road conditions can be described as terrible having a lot of water on the road it was really astonishing how quick this car accelerates (only up to 100 km/h due to safety reasons this time). You can instantly feel that the electric motor is giving a lot of extra torque and boost in the hybrid mode and nicely control the torque on each wheel in order to minimize slipping tires. On the other hand you can drive purely electric up to 130 km/h and you're still quick enough for the daily drive to school or so, similar to the very good observations we had in the Golf GTE test drive! Of course driving really sporty also means that you battery is down rather quickly, but with a power-wall you only need to wait two hours until you're full again...quite convenient I would say.
