The story of Scott & Laci Peterson became a media frenzy shortly after Laci's initial disappearance. The media caught wind of the pregnant school teacher who vanished without a trace, and the world all seemed to notice the odd behavior of her strangely calm husband Scott. What transpired over the next several months turned from a sad story about a missing soon to be mother, to a horrifying tragedy that would dominate the air waves for years to come.
The media brought the many misdeeds of Scott Peterson to the forefront, and what began as "odd and aloof" behavior seemed to turn into a diabolic plan to decimate his own family. And it was why when he was eventually convicted many of us who watched it transpire, were not surprised.
But in the last several years there has been a major shift in the Scott Peterson case, one that I wasn't previously aware of until I began to research his case since the trial. What I found caused me to invest nearly 6 weeks of my life into finding the truth, and what I found changed the way that I see True Crime forever.
I sought out to answer the question, was it possible that Scott Peterson was actually innocent? And the answer I found in the court record, transcripts, pleadings and filed briefs, changed my view on his case for good.
