Batha'a is an urban baladiyah and the oldest commercial district of Riyadh. It is a historic market and it is famous large population of various migrant workers such as Indian, Pakistan, Bangladesh,  Filipino,  Sri Lankan, and many more who altogether dominate around 70 percent of the economic activity in the central market.
