Lymph Nodes are in various positions of the body, for example just under called submaxillary, submandibular, subaxillary and also in the groins called inguinal. They actually swell up if there is an infection in the surrounding area or somewhere around the place and if they infection has been there for quite a long time. It’s a very very important if the lymph gland is swollen in a particular area for a long time to make sure that you go to your doctor, find about the exact cause of the infection is and treat the infection. Once the infection is treated, automatically the glands also come down. Yes, having said that, there are also some of the glands called the tonsils. Tonsils are two group of lymph glands which are there inside the beginning of your throat. They can also swell up for various reasons. If in some case it could be an allergy, in some cases it could be an infection or some cases it could also be in the family. At the same time there are also few lymph glands which are also there behind the nose, what we call them as adenoids. Adenoids are only found in children and they can be found out by an ENT doctor or a pediatrician or a doctor who has been treating children for a long number of years, with his experience he can find out or it can be confirmed by doing an x ray and also that is a kind of a gland which swells up, lymph glands which is behind the nose called as adenoids. If found, it has to be treated conservatively or through some other medicines. I, in my clinic treat it and cure it with homeopathic medicines.
