The top flight of French football, Ligue 1, is ranked as the fifth best league in Europe by UEFA's coefficients, but despite boasting players as talented as Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Dimitri Payet, the division is still dismissed particularly by fans of the Premier League as being low quality or a 'farmers league'.
