Escape The Mad Empire is a rogue like dungeon crawler where we control a team of brave Hero type folks who must battle their way through dungeons, pick up loot, try to not die and escape!

After a bit of a tutorial where we learn the ropes of the game we acquire our four Heroes. We have a sort of paladin, a barbarian, a battle mage and a wizard. Each has their own set of stats in a sort of D&D kind of way and also their own special abilities.
The wizard can throw attack spells around, the Paladin can heal a bit, the barbarian goes on a furious rampage, that sort of thing! Everything happens in real time but, brilliantly, we can pause the game and take our time, plus most of the special abilities work when time is paused! Huzzah!
We work our way through three different dungeons, each filled with rooms to explore, treasure to loot and creatures to do battle with. Some creatures are squishy, others not so much.
But the question is, can we work our way through all the dungeon levels and escape the Mad Empire?

Risk and reward are a core part of success when you try to Escape the Mad Empire. The choices you make as you explore, battle, and manage your adventuring party can be the difference between victory and defeat. Will you risk life and limb for the smallest of victories?
… is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Face every threat, taste victory and defeat, and learn from your mistakes. Attempt new strategies, builds, and synergies.
