Iran, Sassanid Ancient City -شهر باستانی بیشاپور
شهر باستانی بیشاپور یادگار شاپور اول ساسانی دومین پادشاه سلسله ساسانیان یکی از بزرگترین شهرهای باستانی ایران که در ورودی تنگ چوگان در شهرستان کازرون و 140 کیلومتری غرب شیراز واقع شده است. این شهر تا چند قرن بعد از اسلام رونق داشت ولی رفته رفته مردم به روستاهای اطراف وشهر کازرون مهاجرت کردند. برای تجربه کردن و قدم زدن توی یک شهر باستانی 155 هکتاری بهتون پیشنهاد میکنم بازدید از این شهر رو از دست ندید. شهر بیشاپور به همراه نقش برجسته های تنگ چوگان ثبت میراث جهانی یونسکو شده اند.
The ancient city of Bishapur, is a relic of Shapur I, the second Sassanid king in the Sassanid Empire (also known as Sasanian Empire). It’s one of the biggest ancient cities in Iran, located in the entrance of Tange Chogan, Kazerun County; 140 km west of Shiraz. The city was still alive a few centuries after the Islamic period, but gradually people started to move to the Kazerun City and/or nearby villages. If you want to experience walking in a 155 hectare ancient city, I highly suggest visiting this city. Bishapur City and Tange Chogan rock reliefs are all included in the World Heritage Site (UNESCO).
