(Film from Iran) Film Lovers: Unexposed / Exposed features three prominent female film figures in Iranian cinema: Niki Karimi, the leading female star of post-Revolutionary Iran; Rakhshan Bani-Etemad, the most prestigious Iranian woman filmmaker; and Tahmineh Milani, the director of controversial feminist movies including Two Women and The Hidden Half. Unexposed uses two women to dissect ideas around women in post-revolutionary Iran who wanted to be liberated from traditional roles and to pursue individuality and education.
