The United States’ withdrawal from Afghanistan is one of the “great historic disasters” of Western foreign policy, says former foreign minister Alexander Downer.
“It’s a shocking situation and I think it’s a very sad thing that ultimately the Biden administration just suddenly walked out,” Mr Downer told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
