‘Large-scale lockdown’ expected when Hong Kong launches universal Covid-19 testing, source says

The Hong Kong government is expected to impose a “large-scale lockdown” when it requires all residents to complete three coronavirus tests as part of its universal screening drive in the second half of this month, the Post has learned.
A source familiar with the situation said the administration also plans to shorten the testing period from a planned 15-21 days to just nine. The city recorded another 32,597 Covid-19 infections on March 1, 2022.
