King Xerxes Death Scene! (Epic) Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
Neema and Artabanus can be found on Makedonia, after starting the quest The Horseman Cometh. If you play as Kassandra, you will meet Natakas instead of Neema. This quest will be out on the map when you have bought and installed Legacy of The First Blade (DLC). But you can not start this before you have started Episode 7 of the main game and reached level 28.
I have very mixed emotions about this DLC. I honestly give it a 6/10. It was cool and all but it just felt too depressing. For many reasons! Im not going to tell you why I feel this way or spoil it, just in case you haven't tried it yet.
Darius/Artabanus:
Artabanus of Persia was a Persian political figure during the Achaemenid dynasty, who later became Regent of Persia in 465 BC. He is considered to have served either as vizier or as head bodyguard for King Xerxes.
Artabanus was responsible for the death of Prince Darius. He accused Prince Darius of parricide, resulting in his execution. Artabanus was not proud of what had happened, so he took Darius as his middle name. Anyways, he then became afraid that Xerxes would seek revenge, which he did. Xerxes started hunting his family. Artabanus then assassinated King Xerxes, who at the time was a bigger tyrant than ever. Artabanus had his own ideas of politics and started getting followers. Upon realizing how much he had put his followers in danger, he disappeared. Went in to shadow and lived a very secret life.
King Xerxes:
Xerxes was a man most known for being mad about power. He crushed revolts in Egypt and Babylon, and renewed his father's campaign to conquer Greece and punish Athens and its allies for their interference in the Ionian Revolt (military rebellions of great power, by several Greek regions all together). In 480 BC, Xerxes personally led a large army and crossed the Hellespont into Europe. He achieved victories at Thermopylae (defeating Leonidas and his 300 Spartans) and Artemisium before capturing and tearing down Athens. His forces gained control of mainland Greece north of the Isthmus of Corinth, until their defeat at the Battle of Salamis (an alliance of Greek city-states under Themistocles of Atens). Fearing that the Greeks might trap him in Europe, Xerxes retreated with the greater part of his army back to Asia, leaving behind Mardonius and his men to continue his campaign. Mardonius was defeated at Plataea the following year, effectively ending the Persian invasion.
My experience with AC Odyssey:
I have been playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey since 2020 or so and it is still not boring. Had some breaks here and there but the game simply drags me back! The open world and the eternal quests keeps me going. I have been starting New Game+ countless times. I have also done Legacy Of The First Blade and The Faith Of Atlantis. I love them! If you haven't tried them out, you should. My favorite place is Elysium. Torment of Hades is also very cool! (Chapter 2 of Atlantis DLC). You can kill Cerberus there. In chapter 3 (Judgement of Atlantis), you get to face another monster. That one is insane. It's called Hekatonchires.
Heard about this new Assassin's Creed game comming out in 2023! Assassin's Creed Mirage. It would be kind of nice if this game was a bit more like the old assassin's creed games.
I really want to download and play Assassin's Creed Valhalla too but I'm just not done with AC Odyssey, so what's the point? I will download it tho, eventually. I've seen that Kassandra from AC Odyssey appears in AC Valhalla in an epic battle with Eivor (Eivør). That's pretty cool.
I haven't really looked into all the abilities that AC Odyssey has / or I have seen them but didn't care enough to spend my ability points on them. I didn't unlock or upgrade the abilities with the bow 100% yet because I simply dont find it that enjoyable to just one-shot things. I am more of a melee type of guy.
In case you want to know, I am using an Elgato HD60 S+ to record the gameplay.
If you want to learn a lot about this game, you should mainly watch 2 YouTubers: JorRaptor and T7PDM. They upload a lot of good videos of Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
