Can You Teach Yourself to DRAW and PAINT like the Old Masters without going to an Art Academy?
Today, we are going to talk about the "Atelier" approach and we are going to see how, if you can't join prestigious institutions like the Florence Academy of Arts, the Angel academy of Arts or the Grand Central Atelier in NY, you can at least be inspired by the teachings that are given there to practice at home. Obviously it can’t be the same but, as a self-taught artist, there is a lot to learn from how things are taught in Ateliers, because, ultimately, it is based on timeless principles that are available to anyone.

I am an artist living and working in France. I learned the techniques of the Atelier of the Nineteenth century and now I try to share some of my knowledge with the rest of the world, because I think that beauty still has an important role to play in artistic creation.
