In this fresh and fun home-schooling lesson you will learn all about subordinating conjunctions. Learn the song first to equip yourself with a great and easy mnemonic to remember eight subordinating conjunctions, then it's time to create your own clauses.
We will look at how subordinating conjunctions link and connect with a subject and a verb to create a subordinate clause, and how a subordinate clause can then join a main clause to form a complex sentence.
You will be assessed to see if you can spot the subordinating conjunctions and then the subordinate clauses.
Then it's time for the sentence 'Mic Check'. Before, we will recap on the differences between simple, compound and complex sentences, and then it's your turn to sort them in the second 'Mic Check'.
