Hair around the areola, basically there is no cause for it, very part of the skin has got hair follicles and possibly one or two hair would have decided to grow around the areola. So there is nothing related to it. rarely it can be hormonal. But we do not treat hormonally just based on the hair around the areola. We look for other causes. Just hair around the areola, there is nothing, no relations.30% of young girls would have had one or 2 hair around the areola.so nothing needs to be done. No need to worry. So appropriate counseling to see that she is not stressed out with that party of it which is of no significance. If it is just few hairs, then plucking or shaving may help. Plucking is what is ideal, but if there is too much of hair, then go for a laser treatment.
