The above video is a part of the research project on Bushehr music titled Khayyam Khani, which concluded in 2007.
Khayyam Khani is the name of a musical genre in Bushehr in which poems by Khayyam, a famous Iranian poet, are performed to the accompaniment of local drums and double pipes or flutes. In this ceremony, the participants accompany the other musicians with collective singing and hand clapping.
