قسمت دهم برنامه‌ی فراساختار
در قسمت دهم از برنامه‌ی فراساختار، میزبان پروفسور لی کرونین، استاد شیمی دانشگاه گلاسکو اسکاتلند بودم. لی کرونین علاوه بر این، عضو انجمن سلطنتی ادینبرو و همچنین عضو انجمن سلطنتی شیمی است. یکی از مهم‌ترین و تاثیرگذارترین دستاوردهای علمی تحقیقاتی او، توسعه‌ی رباتی است که بر آن نام چمپیوتر نهاده اند. محققان گروه کرونین به کمک چمپیوتر، تاکنون موفق شده اند که به صورت کاملا اتوماتیک و همچنین قابل اعتماد، بسیاری از مولکول‌های آلی را سنتز کنند. محققان این گروه موفق شدند در سال ۲۰۱۸، به کمک این ماشین و بدون هیچگونه دخالت انسان، سه ترکیب دارویی نیتول، روفینامید و سیلدنافیل را سنتز کنند که نتایج آن در مجله‌ی معتبر ساینس، به چاپ رسیده است. در این برنامه پیرامون دستاوردهای این گروه و همچنین پیشرفت‌های علمی این حوزه به بحث و گفتگو پرداختیم. گفتگویی عمیق و معنادار که همواره جزو اهداف برنامه‌ی فراساختار بوده است.

Episode 10: Metastructure Program
In the tenth episode of the Metastructure Program, I hosted Professor Lee Cronin, the chemistry professor at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. In addition to his role as a professor, Lee Cronin is a member of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and also a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. One of his most important and influential scientific achievements is the development of a robotic device named "Chemputer". Researchers in the Cronin group, with the help of Chemputer, have succeeded in synthesizing many organic molecules completely automatically and reliably. In 2018, researchers of his group succeeded in synthesizing three drug compounds, nitol, rophenamide, and sildenafil, using this machine without any human intervention, and the results were published in the prestigious journal Science. In this program, we discussed the achievements of this group as well as the recent scientific advancements in this field. A deep and meaningful conversation that has always been among the goals of the Metastructure Program.
