The allflot®-flotation in combination with conventional agitator flotation as rougher stage works for most applications most efficient. The scavenger allflot®cell improves the recovery, within the allflot® scavenger cleaner cell, the grade will be increased to desired figures.

For coal it is different; always two allflot® cells in series will be used for processing.

allflot® cells are of simple design. The flotation period is no longer than the retention time of the pulp in the flotation vessel. Longer retention times of the suspension, i.e. larger flotation vessels, will in no case enhance the product quality because contrary to the agitation cells, aeration has been terminated upon passage of the pulp through the aerator. The pneumatic flotation cell operates on the principles of mixing the air and pulp in a continuous stream and ensuring that the correctly sized bubbles are fed into the pulp as it enters the cell. This maximises the number of particle and bubble collusions.

The allflot® works without rotating parts. The slurry taken from the installed feeding agitator tank is pumped to the aerator where the contact between conditioned slurry and air takes place. The slurry contacted parts are made in HDPE (nozzle plate, slurry guiding cones, slurry distributor) or wear resistant ceramics (nozzles). Ultra-fine air bubbles are generated inside the aerator to improve product quality and recovery. The slurry is directed downwards in a central pipe and enters the cell through the slurry distributor via many ceramic nozzles in an upwards motion. The lifetime of the ceramic nozzles is long, at least 15.000 hours. Another feature is the very small footprint. The scavenger cell works self-aspirated which reduces power consumption enormeous.

allflot®-flotation machines are equipped with a “goose neck” device for easy mechanical level control.
