Barcelona IVF tells you step by step how to administer the Follitropin alfa with the Gonal Pen.
This medication is used during the ovarian stimulation phase of an IVF in order to develop multiple follicles in the ovaries that will then produce the eggs. The kit has a preloaded pen and multiple needles for subcutaneous administration. It should be daily injected into a skin fold on one side of the abdomen. It can be injected by the patient itself, her partner, or a health professional, following carefully the instructions given by the doctor.
