Nexturn SA32 Swiss Lathe PMTS 2021 Demonstration

Nexturn PYII-series CNC Swiss lathes from Absolute Machine Tools are high performance 8-axis machines that include 27 tools, dual Y-axes, modular rotary spindles and exchangeable guide bushings. The footprint of the PYII tooling zone is compact, making setups and tool changes a breeze.

Watch this video as the Nexturn SA-32PYII main spindle and sub spindle work quickly and efficiently to maximize cycle time in dropping parts complete while running simultaneously. The rigidity of the guide bushing allows for a more stable machining process, which means better ability to hold tight tolerances, and better surface finishes. The ability to use a “Y” axis on the sub spindle, and the additional tooling envelope of 4 live tools and 4 static tools makes these Swiss lathes high performance bar eating machines.

When parts are complete, they can be dropped in a parts conveyor and ushered out the side of the machine. For longer length parts, use a long part ejection system to evacuate the parts out of the rear of the machine thru the sub spindle.
