HOW TO MAKE MUSK CONFECTIONARY (musk sticks)
Musk sticks are my favourite. It`s perfect for kids and easy to make.
I use the natural colour of beetroot in this version but food colouring will work fine too.
Once you have prepared this, pipe/ spread it without delay or it will seize up as it cools. To remedy this, warm the bowl and it will mix together again.
Leave it out to dry for a day or so, then store it in an air tight container....in a well hidden spot!

Recipe:
500 gm sifted pure icing sugar
60 gm coloured water
5 gm flavour
50 gm glucose
3 sheets gelatine ( ***or 6 gm powdered)
* if using powdered gelatine, do not pre-soak. Simply add it to the recipe dry and proceed as normal. Ensure the gross weight of wet ingredients is 150gm by adding more water.
