Resident Evil 4. The game that people have been waiting five years for, is finally on it's way. It's history has been a long and twisted one which reaches back to 1999, after the release of Resident Evil 3 on the PlayStation One. Straight away people were expecting an "official" fourth title due to the releases of Code Veronica on Dreamcast, the announcment of Zero on the Nintendo 64 and Gun Survivor on the PlayStation One as well.
Leon is an idealistic rookie cop. He burns with the need to protect and to serve, and life as a cadet was an eye - opening experience. While reckless and brash, Leon is certainly not as naive as his demeanor would suggest. He is highly qualified for his new job with the Raccoon Police.
Leon stumbles upon this mysterious woman who is quite secretive yet, at the same time, a professional and skilled investigator. She can also come across as condescending, and has a tendency to talk down to those she deems inferior to herself.
Ashley is the teenage daughter of the President of the United States who is kidnapped while on her way back from her University by a group called "Los Illuminados". Leon Kennedy is given the task of tracking her down and rescuing her in Resident Evil 4. Ashley lacks any combat experience, but proves useful in certain situations because she can get into areas where Leon cannot. But her lack of much self-defense makes for a challenging strategy, because Leon must protect her at all costs.
Wesker has risen quickly inside the S.T.A.R.S. organization and currently leads the Alpha Team. Viewed by many as a "cool guy," from his snappy haircut to his perpetual shades, Wesker was recruited by a headhunter for his sharp insight and eventually founded the S.T.A.R.S. unit in Raccoon City.
You'll meet Luis Sera in an abandoned farmhouse playing as Leon in Resident Evil 4. He is a researcher who worked on the Las Plagas virus for Los Illuminados. But Luis was deceived by them, and when he discovers what their real intentions for his research are, he decides that he must do what he can to make it right.
Saddler is the intelligent leader of the "Los Illuminados" cult hell-bent on taking over the world. He was able to trick Ramon Salazar into releasing the Las Plagas virus upon a nearby village, and thus turning all of the inhabitants into slaves for his cause.
