common sex problems every couple deals with.

Everyone deserves a healthy and enjoyable erotic life. I have recognized the importance of being well versed in sexual issues and sex therapy, and I am currently pursuing AASECT (American Association of Sexual Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) certification as a sex therapist. It is really so important for people to be able to talk comfortably about sexual issues.

What does sex therapy entail?? Does it mean I have to take my clothes off?? The answer to that is ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Sex therapy involves talking, just like any other issue for which someone would come to therapy. It helps people understand better, “How did I come to be the sexual being that I am?” It also helps people to understand that they are normal! There is such a wide range of things that people enjoy in their sexual lives.

Many couples and individuals present for therapy with sexual concerns as their primary reason for coming to therapy, but these issues often emerge during the process of therapy as well.

One of the most common issues that couples have is different levels of desire. Oftentimes, regaining a sexual relationship after the discovery of an affair, when couples choose to remain together, is also an area of concern.

Sometimes partners love and care for each other very much, but for one reason or another, their sex life has diminished or even disappeared. They may wish to regain sexual intimacy in their lives, and some couples just want an opportunity to improve their sex lives.

Other issues include erectile dysfunction, pre-mature ejaculation, issues around achieving orgasm, and sexual pain. Sex should not hurt!

Some couples and individuals may want to explore alternative areas of sexuality including open relationships, interests in kink and BDSM, or issues around bisexuality, homosexuality, being gender queer, gender fluid, or trans.

Whatever it is, I will provide you with a safe and non-judgmental sex-positive environment, to talk about these issues.
