Killing Mortanis for the weekly quest, saw that the raid group was almost full and wanted to benchmark how well the 5900X and 3070 would perform with almost 40 players. There were actually more than 38 players in the area as another group of players (not in my raid group) was nearby.

The GPU wasn't maxed out in this raid, unlike some other areas (even open world / 5 Man dungeons) in Shadowlands that absolutely kill the GPU (especially areas with lots of far background detail to generate like Ardenweald / some parts of Revendreth). However, FPS dropped to mid 70s at some point, when the spell casting / animations were at their peak, showing that even one of best CPUs for single threaded performance on the market at the moment is bottlenecking WoW. Good thing the typical instanced raids in retail WoW are capped at 25 players so that should be less taxing on the CPU.

The recording has some UI / RTSS overlay flickering but these don't show up in game, likely some issues with the recording software.

Gameplay recorded in 4k60, with high graphics settings (7 of 10 on slider as usual), using OBS Studios CQP 14. Recording on OBS using the NVENC encoder on the RTX 3070 seems to use about 5-10% of the GPU, and typically drops about 5 - 10 FPS.
