September 26, 2022: On Monday morning, students at Tehran’s Tarbiat Modares University held protest rallies, demanding for the release of detained students and calling for others to join the nationwide protests.
Sources of the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) are reporting protests spreading to 154 cities and regime security forces killing at least 200 protesters while arresting over 10,000 others. Reports also indicate hundreds, if not thousands, have been injured by the regime’s security forces.
Protests began on September 16, after the death of Mahsa Amini, 22, who was beaten to death by the regime's "morality police" under charges of supposedly violating the regime's hijab rules.
