Title: Emerging Optimization Problems and Algorithms
Abstract: Over the last two decades, nature-inspired stochastic optimisatoin techniques have been widely used to solve a variety of problems in both science and industry. Despite the popularity and impact of such methods, optimisation of real-world problems involves addressing a large number of difficulties such as local solutions, multiple objectives, constraints, expensive objective function, noisy objective function, dynamic search space, uncertainties, etc. In this talk, the state-of-the-art and recent advances in addressing such difficulties during optimisation will be briefly presented. There will be discussions on the future of research in this area as well.
