The beautiful village of Gard-Tenkabon Castle is most famous for its pleasant climate and untouched nature. This beautiful tourist village is the destination of many travelers from the north, especially in the spring season, and it is famous for its coziness and silence. This village leads from the north to the Caspian Sea, from the west to Ramsar, from the east to Chalus and from the south to Qazvin. After its natural beauty, the most important tourist attraction of the village of Qala Gardan is a castle called Tenka Castle, which is located on the southern hill of the Cascade Coffee House of this village. This historical fort was built in the 5th century of Hijri and was registered as a national monument in March 2016. Many consider Tenka Castle as the symbol of Tenkabon city and consider it very valuable from this point of view. The reason for this is the name of the city of Tenkaben, which means "at the foot of Tenka Castle". The location of this fort is in the southern heights of the Gond Castle, in such a way that it dominates Dohzar Gorge and Tankabon Plain.
Attributing the construction of this castle to the 5th century is taken from the narration of Tarikh Royan, written by Maulana Auliyaullah Amoli in the 8th century. The important historical event of this castle in the contemporary period is that Tenka Castle was the host and shelter of Mirza Kochch Khan Jangli and his companions for a while. After the constitutional era, this castle lost its strategic position and began to be destroyed. Today, a part of its stone ramparts, which are solidified with Saroj mortar, remain from this historical fortress. Tenka fortress has an area of 350 square meters and the height of the hill on which it is built is 50 meters.#iran_tourism,#QaleGardan_village,#mazandaran
