China firmly opposes Huawei ban by some European Union countries

China has firmly opposed a ban that some European Union countries have slapped on Chinese telco giant Huawei. The country's foreign ministry called the move a typical case of "presumption of guilt". It said Chinese telecommunications equipment vendors have never compromised the security of European countries. Rather, they have significantly contributed to the development of the European telecommunications sector.
