Violent Night Update
PVP, Servers, 9 Languages, Voice Chat, Dog Companions, & More
Hey Survivors! Here is our biggest-ever update for HumanitZ - a huge milestone from our Roadmap to 1.0! This update brings two of the biggest requests since launch in September.... dedicated servers and localization. As mentioned in previous updates, more languages will be coming to the game ASAP.
Get in the festive spirit with some Christmas-related items and exciting new content. With new threats and a loyal canine companion joining the survival party, gather your friends and expand your arsenal to navigate the apocalypse.
If you were thinking about getting the game, now is a great time to do so as we are part of the Steam Winter Sale through our publisher Freedom Games! From December 21st until January 8th, the game will be on sale for 20% off! Make sure to check out Freedom Games' Winter Sale 2023 page to pick up some great games to play over the holiday season.
Dedicated Servers* We have partnered with Shockbyte for our dedicated servers! You now have the option to join a couple of official HumanitZ servers. Players are now able to host on their machines and have an option for monthly server provider support. Find out more about monthly server support here. *Current max of 24 players. We will be looking into increasing the player cap in 2024 as we improve performance.
VOIP Proximity chat.
Localization (CN, DE, PT-BR, FR, JP, RU, ES, KO)
Team/Group option for PVP servers.
New Dog Companion
New Christmas Event items added (Props, Items, clothing and more)
New infected Animal type.
New clothing added.
New Weapon type: M1 Garand
New Weapon type: Cricket Bat
New large drivable vehicle added.
2x new Spawn selection locations.
Added lock and advanced lock for buildable gates.
More changes to the map and houses.
Improved driving replication.
Added human multiplayer to server settings.
Added Max player settings for dedicated.
Dog companion settings added to server settings.
Forced walk speed when in Sniper ADS.
New on death settings. (keep items, lose pockets, lose all options)
Sound attenuation of footsteps increased.
Gunshot sound attenuation increased.
Craft your own sewing kit.
Car can damage player in PVP
Increased chance of food from traps.
Changes made to old spawn locations adding more variety.
Players can be damaged while in a car.
House doors can be locked from inside.
Watch your Step. Mines and Bear traps can damage or kill players in PVP.
Damage from firearms/bows take bone names into consideration.
Improvements to the chat system.
Improvements to client driving.
Improvements to server menu.
Added option to disable chat preview.
Fixed heli crash pickups not destroyed.
Fixed reload bug.
Fixed wall buildings not affecting nav mesh.
Potential fixes for duplication glitches.
Whistle is now disabled when the chat box is open.
Fixed Athlete skill.
Development for multi-story building gameplay is in testing.
Map optimization and level streaming to improve performance.
Quest system.
Steam Deck development.
Improved controller support.
