Denon’s flagship AVRs are the stuff of legend. Will the new 15-channel AVR-A1H ($6,499) be able to fill the gigantic shoes of classic Denon receivers of yesteryear? The AVR-A1H is Denon’s top offering for 2023, and among the brand’s first to incorporate Dirac Live. The AVR-A1H is rated at 150wpc x 15CH into 8 ohms (2CH driven) and has 4 independent subwoofer outputs and advanced bass redirection features. We give some insights into the build quality, power supply and power capability, and about the advanced bass management features from what we discovered at our recent trip to Denon's headquarters.
