potential map ideas // mapleshade's vengeance themed
surprise! none of them are about mapleshade :)
this video is primarily to show my thoughts and ideas, but if you fall for a map, you are free to pick it up and make it official (with my permission). i will likely leave it up to someone i know, but i'm willing to co-host, or even host if i feel strongly enough!!

i know the end - ravenwing:
i want a map that finally paints ravenwing in a good light (much like magbel). its about his confidence issue after taking the role of medicine cat for the clan after his mentor, oatspeckle, has died. he seems very new to it all and nervous about the things he does, so i can picture him in starclan after he dies, watching everything maple has done, and blaming himself because he wasn't a good enough medicine cat.

dear wormwood - perchpaw
perchpaw was kidnapped by mapleshade, watched her kill his mentor, and had to kill her to prevent her from killing his mate. this guy DEFINITELY has ptsd. this map is about him being haunted by that day and his guilt, that takes the form of a monstery mapleshade that follows him around. at the end though, he is able to confront the monster and let himself move on.

dreaming costs money, my dear - reedshine
reedshine reflects on her relationship with appledusk after his death. he wasn't a great guy, but i'm sure he wasn't super horrible to her. she thinks about him potentially cheating on her and lying to her, though she forgave him in the heat of the moment, after his death, she is alone with her thoughts and is forced to confront them. ....i may have gone overboard with symbolism/imagery. the things mitski does to me....

one of the more obscure characters in mv, i think? i hardly see him in maps but i love myler dearly. he's such a caring person in a seemingly naive way, but i think he knows very well what kind of person mapleshade is by the time she shows up at his barn and bleeds out. but still, as a kind person, he debates his choice, wondering if he did the right thing by letting her die, as she wished, and wondering if things had gone different, if they would be friends. things like that.
out of all of these, i'd like to participate in this map the most
broken church bells - nettlepaw
another obscure character! nettlepaw/breeze is the apprentice who kindly takes care of mapleshade after her exile, and unknowingly gives her the information that leads to frecklewish's death. i assume that a kind-hearted young cat like him would feel devastated at the idea that he caused his clanmate's death with his kindness. in this map, he's tormented by his guilt, which takes the form of an adder that is curled around his neck, and tightens when his guilt gets worse and more, well, suffocating.
