Armenia is among the 44 countries participating in the first summit of the European Political Community (EPC), a new political platform created by the European Union.

During this summit, photos and videos have appeared online showing Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan holding an informal meeting with Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Also seated at the table are Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

French President Emmanuel Macron is also seen walking up to the table and greeting everyone.

Pashinyan is currently in a four-party meeting with Aliyev, Macron and European Council President Charles Michel.

Then a meeting between Pashinyan and Erdogan.

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has ruled out Russia’s membership in the EPC.

"This meeting is looking for a new world order without Russia,” Borrell announced.

The EU Council reports the summit’s agenda includes, “Issues such as peace and security, the economic situation, energy and climate, as well as migration and mobility."
