This is a very dangerous way to recharge your flat car battery. It's a very third world way of doing things, where health and safety goes out the window!  luckily I did it so that you don't have to. This method simply requires a old-fashioned incandescent light bulb and a diode, that's it. That's all you need to recharge your dead car battery. The circuit connects your battery directly to the mains voltage, so your battery effectively becomes live. So there is a definite electric shock risk.
